- I get just a black/white screen!
Check if the menu has been changed to PAL format, if your TV doesn’t support NTSC format.
- Is the recorder codefree?
The recorder is set on code 2 (Europe). Presently there is no option to choose another region code. We bestir ourselves to offer this option in the near future.
- Can I record daily/weekly?
There is the option to record daily or weekly. The recorder can store up to 6 programmings.
- Is it possible to connect the recorder with a satellite receiver?
Yes, the advantage lies in the multitude of channels you can receive.
- I don’t receive all channels with the automatic TV channel search function. What might be wrong?
This is a matter of the hyper band that is being used by some channels. The hyper band is a special frequency domain in cable distribution nets, precisely the range between the special channels S21 and S41, between 302 MHz and 450 MHz. If this is the case, please search for the channels manually.
- My burned DVD+R cannot be replayed on this device or on any other. Why?
If you haven’t finalised the DVD+R (see operation manual p. 36), you cannot play it. The recorder keeps the option open to add further material on this DVD.
- I cannot copy my original DVDs from an externally connected player with the recorder. Is the recorder defective?
Please see that your player isn’t macrovision protected. If it is, there is no way to copy an original DVD. Burned formats can be copied.
- I get a screen but no menu. Where’s my mistake?
Make sure you have another video cable (e.g. scart, video cinch or s-video + audio r/l) connected with the recorder along with the aerial cable. Otherwise you will just get the TV signal, but not the recorder’s menu.
- Is it possible to cut the commercials?
The edit function of the recorder allows for cuts.
